BECOME A LIBRARY VOLUNTEER
Why does the library need volunteers?
As Nantucket’s public library, the Atheneum welcomes more than 77,000 year-round and seasonal island residents and visitors annually who come to access materials from books to DVDs and attend community programs.
Our volunteer team is one of the real strengths behind the library’s daily operations. They play a vital role in supporting and enhancing our programs, services and mission statement.
